A technical lead with strong technical skills in Java and J2EE technologies. He/She should have in depth knowledge of OOP, design patterns and frameworks like Struts (or Spring) , Hibernate/Toplink. Should be strong in web application development, middleware technologies and web services. Should've worked with XML based technologies using application servers like Websphere/Weblogic/JBoss. Must've worked on Open Source platforms like Tomcat, JBoss and tools like Eclipse. Must've lead teams on small projects with experience in mentoring junior programmers. Must be very hands on and must be willing to participate in development activities. Knowledge of UML and RUP would be preferred.

General requirements:
• Proficient in both written and spoken English
• BA/MS or equivalent in Computer Science
• 5+ years of experience
Specific requirements on platforms, technologies and concepts:
Frameworks
• Struts/Spring/JFaces or any UI or component lifecycle frameworks
• Hibernate/Toplink or any other persistence framework
• Castor/JAXB for XML translations
• Familiar with Externalized Rules Engine
Application Servers (any of the servers below)
• Weblogic/Websphere/JBoss
• Apache Tomcat
• Oracle App Server
Middleware Technologies
• JMS and messaging
• Security frameworks – SAML
• Web Services – provider/consumer
Databases
• Oracle/DB2/SqlServer
• MySQL
Development Tools and Automation
• Eclipse
• RCP knowledge is a plus
• Ant
• Cruise Control / Maven automated deployment
Concepts
• Mandatory: Object Oriented Design and Programming
• Mandatory: Design Patterns, understanding and ability to apply.
• Nice to have: Semantic Web (understanding of basic concepts).
• Nice to have: Resource Oriented Computing - understanding of basic concepts. Experience with ROC frameworks is a plus.
• Nice to have: familiarity with one of industry-specific messaging standards and domain models such as ACORD (life/annuity insurance), FIXML (trading), SWIFT (banking), HL7 (healthcare).
Past Experience (should include some of the following)
• Has developed a reusable framework
• Worked on few applications with reasonable business logic and complexity
• Has written documents on design
• Has mentored team members on technologies
