LOHIKA - US-based company focused on providing high-value software development services to technology companies seeks Video Processing Technical Leader for its Kiev office to work on a project for media advertisement producer.

Project description. Library/plug-ins for splicing of several given video fragments into one resulting video fragment with specified resolution, fps and other parameters. 1st stage will be WM (Win32),. subsequent stages using a variety of A/V media formats applying transcoding if necessary (target platform - Linux & Win).

Required Skills:
• ability to provide technical leadership to development team, QA teams, and interact with customer
• At least 7 years strong C/C++ skills/experience (both Win32 & Linux)
• design patterns; multithreading, memory management; system APIs; familiarity with COM-like arch;
• At least 3 years of experience in designing and implementing A/V software (knowledge of at least some of the most popular A/V formats and standards like Windows Media, MPEG2, MPEG4, H264, AVI, AAC, MP3 etc). Required level: A/V files parsing/demuxing/writing, development of custom A/V filters and playback/encoding/transcoding functionality (DShow or non-DShow/OpenSource codecs) Must be completed projects.
• Good command of English (intermediate spoken English – a must).
• Desirable skills:
• Experience with WM SDK and other 3rd party A/V libs
• Experience with Appache plug-ins development (2nd phase) - highly desirable
• Networking protocols
• A good understanding of performance and scaling requirements of systems software.
